Join us for a night of art, music, food and wine tasting. LEGACY invites you to, A Taste of Art 2018! This year’s theme, Kultura ng Kulay, translates in Tagalog as “Culture of Color”. It’s a perfect evening out with good friends or date night!
This elegant event will spotlight local Filipino American artists and will showcase their talents ranging from visual art, culinary creations and music.
We are excited to feature chef Kevin Ordonez from Alkaline restaurant in Norfolk. His restaurant serves ramen and Asian-inspired street food and has been featured in the Virginian Pilot and Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network. We are also thrilled to have Stella and Mariusz Pomiak from Café Stella in Norfolk. Their café serves and caters bistro fare, desserts, and in-house roasted coffee beans. Stella’s recipes are published in Dishing Up Virginia by Patrick Evans Hylton and
has won Best Readers Choice for Best Coffee Shop in Coastal Virginia Magazine.
This fundraising event is a production of the Legacy Committee from the Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater, which is a 501C3 tax exempt institution. Our mission is to celebrate Filipino culture through art, music and food in order to unite generations, honor our legacy, and preserve the integrity of the Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia.
The proceeds will be applied toward programs to promote and preserve Filipino culture including senior and youth programs and growing alumni outreach. Contributions will also help with improvements and maintenance of the PCC.
TIckets include admission and refreshments. Cost of the tickets is $25 for adults and $20 for students and senior citizens. Additional tickets can be purchased for wine for $10, which includes a commemorative Taste of Art wine glass.
